In the tale of the fan favourites, Forrest Griffin and Rich Franklin..
The beast inside emerged and Forrest "THE MIGHTY*" Griffin was reborn.
Both formally Light Heavyweight Champions. Both knocked out by Anderson Silva. Both looking to win this fight and move up in the division.
Forrest Griffin came out looking fresh and explosive. I guess a year away didn't slow him down. His aggressiveness allowed him to takedown Franklin numerous times. He managed to keep Franklin pinned to the mat for the first round. Smothering him with his body and dishing out constant ground-and-pound. The 2nd and 3rd we saw great standup from both. It looked though that Griffin was the more dominant one throughout the fight. The judges agreed, giving him the unanimous decision(29-28). Which made my bet good! Can't wait to see Griffin more!
*.. and NO "the Mighty" is not officially Griffin's nickname, I just came up with him. I feel it suits him. =) What do you think?
