Cain drops Bigfoot to the canvas ..

Heavyweights always put on a good show.

 - at least the best of them do. Cain and Bigfoot never failing to fit into that category. UFC 160 was no exception. Bigfoot went into the octagon with all the confidence you can hope to have going into a title fight. Fresh off his TKO win over Dutch kickboxer Allistair Overeem at UFC 156, Bigfoot looked as though he was ready to step with Cain.

Bigfoot's Mistake: Overeem is no Cain.

Cain is on a different level when it comes to his attacks. He's calculated in his strikes. Hard and fast, wanting to land the knockout punch. .. Its not like Bigfoot isn't capable of the same, he gave Overeem a mouthful in the 3rd round of their bout, standing over him -a knockout victory!

The difference is that Cain keeps his eye on his target - barely winces upon impact of his strikes. Giving him the edge when it comes landing the crucial shots.  Attempting 2 takedowns and getting stuffed, Cain abandons that strategy and instead takes a chance to go toe to toe with Bigfoot.

Pays off for him this time as he drops Bigfoot down with a beautiful right cross and then finishing him off on the ground by taking his back and landing a few more head shots before the Ref calls the TKO.

Obviously not much of a challenge for Cain but definitely great fight experience for Bigfoot (who I think will grow stronger with this loss). Bigfoot improved by means of patience and confidence since his last fight with Cain.

I think all Cain got out of this fight was an ego boost .. that the UFC's #1 contender is sub par and not good enough to take his belt away … but : With Junior Dos Santos defeating Mark Hunt (also at UFC160), Cain and JDS will now get their shot at the coveted 'Triliogy Match Up' ..

Who will come out on top?!
